LITURGIES
Our sixth graders will be the readers for our Wednesday 8:30 a.m. Mass. Please join us in prayer to celebrate the Eucharist and learn about St. Katherine Drexel.
Please continue to pray for those who are suffering from the earthquakes in Haiti and Chile, for vocations, and world peace.
ROSARY PRAYERS
Apostles' Creed
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord. He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended to the dead. On the third day he rose again. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
Fatima Prayer
O my Jesus, forgive us our sins. Save us from the fires of hell. Lead all souls into heaven, especially those who are in most need of Thy mercy.
Hail Holy Queen
Hail Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy, our life, our sweetness and our hope. To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve; to thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn then, O most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us, and exile us, the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary, pray for us O holy mother of God, that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ. Amen.
RECONCILIATION
Act of Contrition
O my God, I am sorry for my sins. In choosing to sin, and failing to do good, I have sinned against You and your Church. I firmly intend, with the help of your Son, to make up for my sins and to love as I should. Amen.
POOR SOULS IN PURGATORY
(Jesus told St. Gertrude that this prayer releases 1000 souls from purgatory each time it is said.)
Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Most Precious Blood of Thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the Masses said throughout the world today, for all the Holy Souls in Purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal Church, those in my own home and within my family. Amen.
SCHOOL PRAYERS
Morning Offering
O my Jesus, I offer you my prayers, works, joys, and sufferings of this day, for the greater glory of your name, for the spread of the Catholic faith, in reparation for my sins, and for all the intentions of your divine heart. Amen.
Grace Before Meals
Bless us O Lord, and these your gifts which we are about to receive from your bounty, through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Grace After Meals
We give you thanks, almighty God, for all your gifts. You live and reign now and forever. Amen.
Prayer for Vocations
Lord, continue to bless and enrich our Church with the gifts of vocations. We pray that many will welcome His call and bring joy to our Church and school by their generous and faithful response. Amen.
Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel
St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do thou, O Prince of Heavenly Host, cast into hell, Satan and all other evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.
The Act of Faith
O my God, I firmly believe that you are one God in three divine Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. I believe that your divine Son became man and died for our sins, and that he will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe these and all the truths which the holy Catholic Church teaches, because you revealed them, you who can neither deceive nor be deceived. Amen.
The Act of Hope
O my God, relying on your infinite goodness and promises, I hope to obtain pardon of my sins, the help of your grace, and life everlasting, through the merits of Jesus Christ, my Lord and Redeemer. Amen.
The Act of Love
O my God, I love you above all things with my whole heart and soul, because you are all-good and worthy of all my love. I love my neighbor as myself for the love of you. I forgive all who have injured me, and I ask pardon of all whom I have injured. Amen.
